The course is set in a beautiful area of McDade Park where homes used to be but were removed due to flood zone determinations.
Although the homes are long gone, much of the landscaping remains. Apple, pear and fig trees are common, and color abounds,
with a canopy of old oaks and pine. In short, this is a really beautiful piece of property. While this is theoretically
reclaimed flood land due to it’s proximity to the river, I believe that it drains and handles rain as well as or better
than any course in the area.I have already mentioned the river that comes into play on several holes, not to mention OB
coming in to play on almost half of the holes. But, the real trouble usually comes from those darned trees. If you can
hit your line, and work your disc, this is your dream course. If your game truly relies on the big arm…well don’t hit nuthin!!
